This ceili with the Johnny Reidy Ceili Band concluded the 2024 Half-Door Club Castletown Trad Fest on the May bank holiday Monday in the Community Centre, Castletown, Co Laois. These are the sets we danced: Kilfenora (5:40), Sliabh Luachra (29:05), Moycullen (49:15), Labasheeda (1:03:55), Ballyvourney Jig (1:37:35), Connemara (1:46:45), Plain (2:04:40) and Clare Lancers (2:29:55). There was also music for a waltz (1:26:40) and quickstep (1:29:50). The ceili ended with the national anthem (2:49:15). There was a surprise musician with the band-Marianne Browne on flute, who was one of the original members of Johnny's band. This was her first time playing with them in about 15 years.

I can only do the Siege of Ennis and my mother taught me the Clare set but this dance I never learned I see people her in Boston do Something like this but I left Ireland before I went to Dances so I can only do my Step Dancing I learned as a Child Is this from the Country side they all seemed to know how to do it well But I grew up in Ennistymonnever saw this but I didn’t go to dances as I left at The time I would have started going to the Dances where did this dance come from z I’ve seen it at The Social Club but only Certain pddople do it I never did as they go someplace to Learn But I like to try it
